Not great news for Guyer football, but not as bad as feared

As I first reported on this here blog last Thursday, Guyer's offensive tackle Kyle Clark, who committed to Texas Tech two weeks ago, was injured during spring practice.

Head coach John Walsh had told me he walked off the field without much problem, but it was still clear that Walsh was a little shaken and nervous.

Now he can exhale because Clark's injury is pretty minor by football standards. He just had some torn miniscus cartilage in his knee, which isn't that big of a deal. Walsh won't take any chances -- Clark's out for the spring -- but of all the players Guyer has, Clark's probably on the list of guys who didn't need spring ball as much as some of his teammates.
